Your privacy at Sprout.

Sprout Baby, LLC (“Sprout,” “we,” “us”) provides a baby clothing subscription (Sprout Closet) and an AI pregnancy and parenting companion (Sprout AI). This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies to getsprout.ing and the Sprout account dashboard.

Information we collect

Account information

When you sign in with Google, Facebook, or Microsoft, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from that provider. If you sign in with an emailed link instead, we only receive the email address you enter. We use your email address to identify your account and to send you sign-in links and service-related messages — never to send marketing email without your consent.

Family and child information

To personalize Sprout AI and size your Sprout Closet boxes correctly, we ask for information about your household: each adult's role (e.g. mother, father, caregiver) and birthday, and for each child, their name, whether they're expecting or already born, a due date or birthday, and gender. This information is visible to every adult you've added to your family profile — Sprout is designed to be shared by both parents/caregivers in a household.

Sprout is intended for use by adults managing their family's account. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information directly from children. Information about a child is provided by their parent or caregiver.

Sprout AI conversations

Messages you send to Sprout AI, and the responses it gives, are processed by our AI model provider (see “Third parties” below) in order to generate a reply. We store a small number of durable facts the assistant identifies as worth remembering (like a preference or a correction you've given it) so it doesn't need to be re-explained in a later conversation. You can clear everything Sprout AI has remembered about you at any time from the chat panel. We also log message and token counts (not the message content itself) to enforce plan usage limits and to understand overall product usage.

Sprout AI is not a medical provider. It does not diagnose conditions, prescribe treatment, or replace the advice of a qualified doctor, midwife, or other healthcare professional. Always consult a healthcare provider with questions about your pregnancy or your child's health.

Nursery design photos

If you use the Nursery Designer, we store the room photo(s) you upload and the AI-generated redesign, so you can revisit past designs from any device. These images are kept in a private cloud storage bucket and are only ever accessible via short-lived, individually-signed links — they are never made public.

Shipping and payment information

If you subscribe to Sprout Closet, we collect the shipping address you provide to fulfill your boxes, and share it with our shipping-label provider and the carrier that delivers your package. Payment card details are entered directly into forms hosted by our payment processor, Stripe — Sprout never receives or stores your full card number.

Cookies and similar technology

We use a small number of essential cookies to keep you signed in and to carry a pending invite or box selection through the sign-in process. We don't use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

How we use information

We use the information above to:

• Create and maintain your account and family profile
• Personalize Sprout AI's responses and Sprout Closet's size recommendations
• Process payments and fulfill and ship Sprout Closet orders
• Send you service-related communications (sign-in links, order updates, billing receipts)
• Maintain the security of the service and enforce usage limits
• Improve Sprout's products and features

Third parties we work with

We share information with the following categories of service providers, only as needed to run Sprout:

• Sign-in providers — Google, Facebook, and Microsoft, if you choose to sign in with one of them.
• AI model provider — OpenAI, to generate Sprout AI's chat responses, dashboard check-ins, and nursery designs.
• Payment processor — Stripe, to process subscription payments and manage billing.
• Shipping — Shippo and the carrier it selects (e.g. USPS), to purchase shipping labels and deliver Sprout Closet boxes.
• Email delivery — Resend, to send sign-in links and transactional email.
• Cloud infrastructure — Google Cloud, to host the application, database, and stored images.

We do not sell your personal information.

Data retention and deletion

We keep your account information for as long as your account is active. If you'd like your account and associated data deleted, see our Data Deletion Instructions— we'll process your request, subject to any records we're required to keep for legal, tax, or accounting purposes (for example, billing history).

Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections, access controls on our systems, and short-lived signed links for private files rather than permanent public URLs. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.

Children's privacy

Sprout accounts are created and managed by adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information directly, please contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you directly.
